After her stay in Rio, Bacardit travels to Bahia, where she will stablish herself for a few months in a small village near the lake Caticanga. It will be precisely in this lake where she will spend pleasing moments together with the children of the village.

She learns the artisan skills of the women of the village and makes a living out of it selling her works on the markets of nearby villages. Finally, she decides to travel to Chile.

Arriving to Santiago, she has material and space to paint again. The pictures of the series Caticanga correspond to the first works realized in Chile and show the memories and experiences of these days.

In them it is possible to distinguish clearly the local landscape. The water of the lake and the vegetation with persons and animals in movement shape the central subject of these works.

The series was exposed in the gallery Buchi of Santiago of Chile.
