Teatro de la muerte (Theater of Death)
1988, Mallorca

This series, which Bacardit also called "Theatre of death ", emerges at her arrival to Mallorca in 1988, after her stay in Berlin, attending at the representations of the plays "Wielopole Wielopole" and "May the artists burst" of Tadeusz Kantor.

It is a series of small format pictures that represent diverse scenes and prominent figures related to war and death, thus returning to her old topic.

To make this series, Bacardit will choose as done before paper as support for her paintings. Nevertheless, this time will not be so much for lack of economic resources, but for the opportunity that offers her the friendship with an artisan that provides her a very thick handmade recycled paper.

Bacardit integrates the texture and tonality of this support to her work, and takes advantage of the irregular cut of the sheets to reinforce the sensation of destruction and of the ephemeral that lies in life.

At the same time, in the same epoch, Bacardit will make another series in which the central topic will be the life, and specially eroticism, reprodcción and maternity.
