1998, Mallorca

During a brief stay in Mallorca, Bacardit remembers, in a series of only three paintings, the painter Xavier Vidal i Banchs, who was her sentimental companion.

Xavier Vidal died unexpectedly at a very early age when he was living with Bacardit in Barcelona.

In this work, the sofa represents Xavier Vidal's presence and the moments of living together at the end of their long days of work in their workshop.
